i have a problem help me please

i am thai just play ubuntu 3 days i use linux mint bea (ubuntu 6.1 edgy)

i can not type in thai after i install xgl i can not chang my keyboard layout

from us 105 -key to thai

what i must do ?

i had read from many forums but can not help me

some said to use xmodmap but not work........

caplock does not work too

I never use XGL yet, because my laptop is not powerful enough.

I'm not sure which XGL you install on your computer ?
from Ubuntu package or build from source.

If Ubuntu package, is it required dependencies installed or not ?
sometimes the package not installed properly.
